Product Features

Characteristic

Precious metal catalyst is a precious metal material that can change the rate of chemical reactions without itself participating in the final product of the reaction. Almost all precious metals can be used as catalysts, but commonly used are platinum, palladium, rhodium, silver, ruthenium, etc. Among them, platinum and rhodium are the most widely used. Their electronic orbitals are not fully filled, and their surfaces are prone to adsorbing reactants with moderate strength, which is conducive to the formation of intermediate “active compounds” and has high catalytic activity. At the same time, they also have comprehensive excellent characteristics such as high temperature resistance, oxidation resistance, and corrosion resistance, making them the most important catalyst materials.

Product Advantages

Large adsorption capacity: through special processes of 1-2nm pt based highly active components, improve the dispersity of active components on the carrier surface.

High catalytic actimity: add rare earth co catalyst to realize the characteristics of high oxygen storage, high specific surface area and high dispersion on the catalyst surface, and improve catalytic activity.

Low reaction temperature: nanoscale active components improve the dispersion of reaction active sites, resulting in lower catalyic reaction temperature.

Product Applications

Automotive (57% of 2025 Volume): Catalytic converters use these metals to convert pollutants like CO and hydrocarbons into less harmful CO2 and water.

Petrochemicals & Refining: Platinum-based catalysts are critical for reforming crude oil into high-octane fuels.

Pharmaceuticals: Homogeneous precious metal catalysts are widely used for complex organic synthesis in drug manufacturing.

Green Energy: Growing focus on hydrogen technology and fuel cells is shifting demand away from traditional internal combustion applications.
